Residential Bridge Camps

EBED runs three residential bridge camps every year in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Our camps are open to young people aged 7–26 of all experience/ability levels. We offer the chance to learn and play in groups appropriate for your age or experience level.

Accompanying adults are welcome to book with their younger family members and can participate fully in all tuition and competitions. Confirmed dates for future bridge camps are listed below, together with booking links and key details.

Spring 2026 Bridge Camp - 27th to 29th March at the Pioneer Centre in Kidderminster

Summer 2026 Bridge Camp - 28th to 30th August at the King's Park Conference Centre in Northampton

Details

- Tuition takes place in 5 staged groups according to ability and experience, with players achieving certificates and moving through the stages as their skills develop.

- Competitions: Each camp includes five competitions: two duplicate sessions (including a F2F round of the Grand Prix), two speedballs, and a Swiss Pairs.

- Prices: All of our camps cost £150 per person for 2 nights' accommodation and full board, with a £20pp Early Bird Discount for bookings made over 1 month in advance. Members of the England U16 or U21 Junior Squads (but not accompanying adults) can attend free of charge. Bursaries are available upon request.

- Safeguarding: EBED ensures all staff and volunteers are DBS-checked and receive safeguarding training. Richard Croot, who organises and teaches at the event, is the Designated Safeguarding Officer for both the EBU and EBED.

- We like to to insist upon payment at the time of booking. To respect the uncertainty that comes with arrangements for children, our cancellation policy is flexible to accommodate late changes wherever possible.

- We encourage all young people taking part to join the English Bridge Union if they are not already members.
