EBED announces the appointment of Mark Humphris as CEO. Mark enjoyed a long career as an engineer with BP, working mainly on the development of natural gas resources around the world, before joining EBED in February last year as Education and Development manager; he will take over the reins over the next few weeks from Giorgio Provenza, who is relocating to his native Italy.

Lee Guy, Chair of EBED, commented, “We are delighted that Mark has stepped up and will continue to bring his professionalism and passion for the game from the top spot. We also thank Giorgio for all his work in leading the Charity during and post the difficult times that the Covid pandemic has brought upon the bridge world.”
