Club Director Training Courses - Classroom based
EBED offer a program of 4 sessions of classroom based training led by an experienced EBU Tournament Directors.
We suggest that you first read this explanation of the TD training program so that you understand which sessions to book.

Course Pricing
The course prices vary with the duration of the course and all EBU affiliated clubs or EBU members receive discounts or concessionary places, see below.
How To Book
EBU Members [not clubs] can book and pay to secure their course places using the booking link shown against the relevant course. Online bookings are for Member price places only.
Concessions for EBU Members
For all bookings processed my EBU members via MyEBU a discount is granted (this discount is funded by the EBU) and bookings will be paid for at the time of booking at the reduced rate. All other bookings are at full price and places are subject to availability.
Free Places for EBU Affiliated Clubs
EBED are proud to work with the EBU promoting 'grass roots' bridge in England and to this end the EBU have put some funds aside to support EBU Affiliated Clubs in achieving high quality bridge teaching, for both beginners and intermediate players, plus knowledgeable and friendly Club Tournament Directors, to assist in the smooth running of duplicate bridge sessions.
The EBU funds a Club Teacher Training place for one delegate from each affiliated club every two years. This offer now also applies to Club Director Training: if a club has not used its Teacher Training place in the past two years, it may instead use the offer for a Director Training place. In both cases, the delegate or club pays upfront and is reimbursed by the EBU.
- At the time of booking members will be required to pay in full.
- Upon a member's completion of the course, the cost will be refunded to the club (via their EBU account) within a month.
- Each club may only apply for one free place every two calendar years i.e. if a free place is given for a course in 2021 the club will next be able to receive a free place in 2023.
- If receiving a free place (unless in exceptional circumstances) a club must remain affiliated for the following two years.
- Applications for a free place should only be made in the spirit for which it is intended – as part of a club-wide effort to grow membership.

| EBED offers some training for club directors that is delivered online for convenience
Please note that experience has shown there are both a minimum and maximum number of delegates required to get the best from these Zoom meetings. In the unlikely event that these numbers are not available for a given meeting delegates will be asked to change to the next available time slot or another of their choosing. |
