Autumn Bridge Camp 2025
Our camp is open to young people aged 7–26. Accompanying adults are welcome to book with their younger family members and can participate fully in all tuition and competitions.
Dates: Arrival evening of Friday 31st October; departure afternoon of Sunday 2nd November.
Venue: Juniper Hall, Old London Road, Mickleham, Dorking RH5 6DA
Accommodation: Most rooms are twins, all with ensuite bathrooms. A few larger rooms accommodate up to five people. Adults may share with their younger family members. There is no single supplement, so adults can have their own room if their younger family members are sharing with other young people. Accessible rooms are available.
Tuition: Suitable for all abilities—from complete beginners to members of the England U16, U21 and U26 squads.
Competitions: There will be five competitions: two duplicate sessions (including the final round of the Grand Prix), two speedballs, and a Swiss Pairs.
Safeguarding: EBED ensures all staff and volunteers are DBS-checked and receive safeguarding training. Richard Croot, who organises and teaches at the event, is the Designated Safeguarding Officer for both the EBU and EBED.
How do I book?
The cost is £150 per person for the weekend (£130 first phone/email Lisa before the end of July). This includes two nights’ accommodation, all meals, bridge tuition and competitions, and sporting activities on Saturday afternoon.
Bursaries are available for those who need financial assistance.
Bookings should be made through Lisa Miller 01296 317217 Monday – Wednesday 7:15 am – 3pm or email lisa@ebedcio.org.uk. We would encourage all young people taking part to join the English Bridge Union if they are not already members.
