2024 Young Bridge Challenge

Twenty-eight teams from across the country attended EBED’s Young Bridge Challenge at Loughborough Grammar School. The event, held on Saturday 2 March, brought together more than 100 young bridge players from schools and bridge clubs, competing in several competitions.

Twenty-two teams took part in the main Swiss teams competition, with another six teams playing in the novice teams event.

School Cup winners: Habs A

The Habs A team won the School Cup after narrowly defeating hosts Loughborough Grammar School A by 22 IMPs to 21 in the final.

Schools Plate winners: KCS Wimbledon

The Schools Plate is won by the best-placed team that did not qualify for the Schools Cup semi-final round.

Harry Scully Cup winners: mixed-school team

The Harry Scully Cup is awarded to the best-placed team made up of players from more than one school. Harriet Cork, from Lincolnshire, and Sophie Morris, from Durham, were joined by Annabel Sutton and Sophia Ward North from the New Tricks Club in North London.
